WHY WE STARTED

Inventive Tech exists because the Phoenix MSP market had a transparency problem.

Out of the top ten Phoenix-area MSPs, only three publish their rates publicly. That is not an accident. The other seven want the quote conversation to feel custom so the buyer cannot comparison-shop.

The problem we kept seeing

Phoenix SMB owners getting handed long contracts with vague scope, locked-in price escalators, and no exit plan. When they tried to leave, their own passwords were held hostage. We watched it happen across industries: medical, legal, financial, restaurants.

What we built differently

Every price published on the website. Month-to-month plans available. Client portal owned by you with every password, ticket, and document. No off-boarding fees, ever. The intake call leads with “is this even a fit for you,” not “sign here.”

The team

Founded 2018. A team of roughly 20 across engineers, helpdesk leads, and security specialists. Owner-led. No outsourced offshore queue, no third-party night service. The person who picks up at 2am is on payroll here.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Four operating principles most MSPs do not publish.

PRINCIPLE 1

Pricing on the website

Hourly rates, block-hour plans, per-user subscriptions, per-device coverage, all published. The Pricing Transparency landing page exists specifically so buyers can comparison-shop without playing the quote game.

PRINCIPLE 2

Month-to-month available, always

Every product can be bought month-to-month with 60-day notice to cancel. 1-year and 3-year terms get pricing discounts and are explicitly opt-in. We do not auto-renew. We do not lock you in.

PRINCIPLE 3

Client portal, you own it

Every password we store on your behalf is in a vault you have admin access to. Every ticket, every document, every monitoring dashboard is yours. If you leave, you take all of it. No off-boarding fees. No password hostage.

PRINCIPLE 4

We say what we do not do

Every service page has an explicit scope-limits section. We tell you what the product does not cover so you do not buy the wrong thing. Help Desk Lite is L1-only. Network Monitoring does not fix problems. Hardware Maintenance is not on-site dispatch. Routing buyers right matters more than landing them.

VALUES

Three values that show up in the work.

If these do not match your operating style, we are probably not the right MSP for you, and a fit call will sort that quickly.

Honesty over closing

If we are not the right fit for what you need, we say so on the intake call. Sometimes the right answer is a different MSP, sometimes it is hiring an internal IT person, sometimes it is the cheaper Plan 2 instead of Prime. We optimize for the right outcome, not the contract.

Speed of resolution, not speed of acknowledgement

Plenty of MSPs send a “we got your ticket” email in 4 minutes and then take 4 days to do anything. The metric we publish and measure is time-to-resolved, not time-to-acknowledged. Live human pickup in under 60 seconds. P1 response in 2 hours from confirmation.

Boring is good

The IT work that looks impressive is usually IT work that was avoidable. Our goal is that your tech stack is so well-maintained nothing dramatic ever happens. Quarterly health checks, weekly patching, monthly reviews, no hero firefighting. Boring is the best compliment.

Common questions before hiring us.

How big is your team?

Roughly 20 people on the team. Owner-led with engineers, helpdesk staff, and security specialists. Founded 2018 in the Phoenix metro. We are not a single-tech shop and we are not a 200-person enterprise MSP. We sit in the sweet spot where you get senior attention without bureaucracy.

Are you 24/7 in-house or do you use an answering service?

In-house for incident response. We have on-call rotation. The person picking up at 2am is on our payroll. We do not use a third-party night queue or offshore call center that takes a message and hands it back to us in the morning. For non-emergency tickets after-hours, you get acknowledged within an hour and worked next business morning unless it is P1 escalation.

Do you do work for clients my size?

Most of our clients sit between 5 and 100 users. Sweet spot is 15 to 50. We have clients smaller (5-user law firms, 10-user dental practices) and larger (multi-site retail, 75-user professional services). Under 5 users you may be better served by Help Desk Lite or block hour plans. Over 100 users we are a fit if you want a senior-attention MSP rather than enterprise-scale.

What if I am unhappy with the service?

Direct line to ownership. Month-to-month terms mean you can leave with 60 days notice. We have a documented off-boarding process that hands you every password, every document, and every monitoring dashboard before the relationship ends. No off-boarding fees. We would rather you leave clean than stay unhappy.

Why should I pick you over a national MSP brand?

National brands have the cert wall, brand recognition, and 24×7 ops infrastructure. We have local presence, owner accountability, and the willingness to say no to bad-fit contracts. If you want a national logo on your vendor sheet, hire one of them. If you want a Phoenix-based partner who will pick up the phone and give you a straight answer, that is us.
